Hey,

I'm Michael.

I would say my journey started like any others, taking photos whenever one would visit places or go on vacation, as it does for many people. I think it was when I borrowed my friend's DSLR camera (a Nikon D700) that I instantly knew I wanted to learn more about photography. A month or two later, I got my first DSLR and started refining my skills while exploring various styles and techniques, and ever since then, I've been doing essentially the same exact thing. Just with different gear and more experiences which shaped me into the photographer that I am now.

After creating for over 4 years, I would say the best part about what I do is capturing people; whether it's a sports game one day or a graduation shoot the next, I'm always open to trying something different and experience new things. The opportunities and experiences I get working with people that I wouldn't have gotten otherwise is a really rewarding aspect of creating. In turn, sharing my work is equally as rewarding as I get to share my experiences through the medium of my camera.

In terms of my creative process, I would say it involves seeking out unique opportunities and moments to photograph and selecting the most striking to share with the world. I'm always committed to continuously learning and refining my photography skills, so I'm always on the lookout for new ways to capture and share images. I would say this is why I don't really specialize in any specific type of photography, as I enjoy experimenting with different techniques and ideas to create visually captivating images. If I had to pick a few I enjoyed, however, I would choose landscape, urban or portrait photography (I know, still very broad).
